We are all connected to the ancient primal forces that live in expressions of creativity. Our wines are inspired by the simple beauty of nature and
the opportunity that it holds. Go where your inspiration takes you. Go with the wind.
Danny graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Windsor in 2014, he then promptly ventured out into the world of Toronto finance to start his career as a banker. In the heart of the city, he honed his skills as a photographer, and every summer he returned to his parent’s peach farm in Jordan Ontario to help with the peach harvest. In 2018, his family made a big decision to purchase the long closed down Alvento Winery. By taking over the role as General Manager, Danny has discovered that the art of winemaking gives him a space to embrace his creative roots. Through the rebranding and revitalization of Alvento Winery, Danny hopes that the wines will inspire you in the same way they have inspired him. In his spare time, Danny can be found editing photos, creating short films, and exploring Niagara’s local cuisine.

Anita found her passion for beverage alcohol while studying food science at the University of Guelph while focusing her studies on Industrial Fermentation. After she graduated, she worked as an assistant brewer and cellar hand for a few years before going back to school to complete the Niagara College Wine Business Management post-graduate certificate. After spending time as a District Sales Manager selling premium wines and spirits, she returned to her Niagara wine roots and joined the Alvento Winery team. In her spare time, Anita can be found perusing farmer’s market stalls for local ingredients to augment her homebrews, hiking local trails, or hanging out at board game cafes with friends.
INSPIRED BY THE WIND
When creating the labels for our WIND series wines, we wanted to highlight the transformation of something new from something that was once perceived as traditional. We chose to share this story through stylized fantasy artwork, giving physical form to our everyday inspirations. Our WIND series features four Wind Goddesses that represent different cardinal directions and natural domains. Each label joins together to create one large illustration. They are designed to be aromatic and refreshing – just like the wind itself.
